Curtis Alfred Giles

    Mr. Curtis Alfred Giles, 73, of Trinity died Friday, February 1, 2019, at his home.  A funeral service will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11:00AM at St. Lukes Lutheran Church. Officiating are, Rev. Vern Kinard and Rev. Curtis Leins. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 6-8PM at Piedmont Funeral Home.  Mr. Giles was born in Davidson County on May 23, 1945 to the late Walter Jefferson Giles and Ruth Albertine Leonard Giles. He was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Chruch, and a retired Camp ranger with  Woodfield Scout Preservation for over 40 years. He was preceded in death his brother, Billy Cleveland Giles and sister, Emma Irene Giles.  Surviving are his wife, Shirley Poole Giles of the home; sons Alfred Dale Giles (Kathleen James) of Tyro, Marvin Scott Giles (Gina) of Denton, William Curtis Giles (Leslie) of Southmont, daughter Melissa Frances Hicks of China Grove, brothers Bobby Willis Giles (Audrey) of Archdale, Walter Dermont Giles (Bonnie) of Tyro, sister Sarah Frances Copple of Efland, along with twelve grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Lukes Lutheran Church and Hospice of Davidson County.
