Zan Dale Younts, age 77 of the Welcome Community, died March 30, 2010, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after serious illness of 3 months. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 2, 2010 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Nance Howell, IV. officiating. Entombment will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will see friends Thursday, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home He was born April 8, 1932 in Davidson County to Jasper Allen Younts, and Sally Craver Younts, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death, was one son Connie Dale Younts; two brothers, Jasper Younts and Fleet Younts; three sisters Perry Byerly, Laura Perryman and Irene Miller. Mr. Younts was the owner-operator of Younts & Son Fence Company, and a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Delores Trexler Younts of the home. Two sons Phil Younts and his wife Lori, and Stanley Younts and his wife Tonya all of Lexington; one daughter Glenda Sneed, and one Daughter-in-Law Diane Younts of Lexington; one brother Worth Younts and his wife Blanche of Lexington; three sisters, Rose Brock, Lucy Schaffer and Amy Jo Hartman and her husband Eugene all of Lexington. Also surviving 5 grand-children, Julie Johnson and her husband Chad, Chasity Little and her husband Scott, Chad Sneed and his wife Jodi, Savannah Younts, and Wake Younts.; 4 great-grandchildren, Mason Sneed, Ayla Sneed, Zoie Johnson and Jacob Little.
