Yancy Ray Hall, age 40, surrendered his body and released his soul to God. April 9, 2013 at Rowan Regional Hospital.Yancy was born November 8, 1972. In Rowan County. His joy in life was taking care of others, primarily his two boys Matthew and Jordan. He walked with the Lord daily, taking care of the elderly with Davidson Home Solutions of Lexington and the VA Hospital, in Salisbury. Yancy, a member of the APA, mastered the game of pool, winning many trophies and coaching a team with led them to a national championship. He loved the outdoors and making others laugh. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 12, 2013 Sandy Creek Cemetery, Tyro, with Pastor Terry Smith and Rev. Howard Baker officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 12, from 12:00 – 1:30 at Piedmont Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother; Ultra Snider Sowers Badgett; grandfather – Stanley B. Sowers; Aunt, Annie Lee Sowers Freeman; Uncle, John Robert Sowers. Yancy is survived by his wife, Wendy Carpenter Hall, sons Matthew and Jordan all of the home. His parents Neplus Sowers Hall and Kenneth R. Hall; Grandfather, Gernie Badgett; step-sisters Tara Harrell and Peyton Barnes, and many many loving friends and family members. There will be a family and friends gathering after the service at St. Lukes’s Lutheran Church.
