Wilma Evelyn Hairgrove

Wilma Evelyn Warf Hairgrove, 82, of Valley Mine Road died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Lexington Health Care. A funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frankie Matthews. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Wilma was born in Lee County on December 3, 1932 to Maryland Coy and Catherine Barbara Johnson Warf. She was of the Baptist faith, and retired as a manufacturing associate from Duracell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hairgrove, brothers, William (Jr), J.C., and Charlie Warf, and sister Mary Wood. Surviving are sons Richard Hairgrove (Wanda) of Lexington, Preston Hairgrove (Linda) of Orlando, Fla.,Michael Hairgrove (Debby) of Southmont, and Mark Hairgrove (Cheryl) of Thomasville; daughter, Carol Ann Barbera (Mike) of Southern Pines; brothers Jack Warf (Judy) of Sanford, and Richard Warf (Marie) of Pittsboro; and sisters Lois Cisneros (Andy) of Vass, and Cathy Warf of Atlanta, Ga. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ryan, Lara, Matthew, Luke, Douglas, Joel, Beth, Seth, John, Preston, Stephen, Katie, and Peter; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Aiden, Grant, Claire, Anna, Joey, Sara, Miranda, Timothy, Levi, Wesley, Becket, Desmond, and Broderic.
