William Allen Temple

Mr. William Allen Temple, 77, of East Holly Grove Road died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Novant Health-Rowan Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at  Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Doug McGee. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Temple was born is Davidson County on February 9, 1941 to the late Jack and Ruby Hicks Temple. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Lexington Furniture Corporation. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Vess in August 2018, four brothers, and two sisters. Surviving are his wife Brenda Mae Tetter Temple of the home; son Tim Temple (Vicky) of Lexington; sisters Virginia (Jenny) Shaw (Robin) and Peggy Temple Bates (Donald) all of Lexington, and Kathy Knox (Ray) of Tenn. Also surviving are grandchildren Shannon Smith (Angie), Christy Stroud (Amber),  and Crystal Sweeney (Patrick Young) all of Lexington. In addition, great-grandchildren Madison, Hayden, Elijah, Issiah, Matthew, and Ranaya also survive, and sister-in-law Debbie Tetter Wilson, and niece, Deanna Wilson (Christie).
