William Gray Smith

William Gray Smith, age 63, of Andrew Sink Road, passed away Thursday morning in Forsyth Medical Center, after an illness of 7 months. A memorial service to celebrate William’s life will be held 3:00 pm Sunday at Tyro United Methodist Church, where he attended, conducted by Rev. Randy Foster. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service, and other times at the residence. William was born April 29, 1953 in Forsyth County to William Henry Smith and Rachel Luffman Smith. He was retired from B/E Aerospace. His father and sister Kathy Smith preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Smith Bodenhamer Smith of the home; his mother of Winston-Salem; sons Clinton Smith (Bridget) of Coatesville PA and Eric Smith of Upper Darby PA; brother Mark Smith (Glenda) of Winston-Salem; sisters Barbara Harris (Fletcher) of Tobaccoville, Brenda Tetiva (Steve) of Mocksville, and Carol Dillon (Jerry) of Winston-Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews.
