Mr. Wendell Lee “Butch” Myers,73, of Old Wesley Chapel Road, died Friday, December 4, 2021 at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, Dec. 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM in The Timberlake Chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home with Pastor Kurtis Massey conducting services. The family will receive friends Friday from 1-3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home and requests that all attending the visitation and Celebration of Life services to wear face coverings to follow Covid-19 protocols. Mr. Myers was born September 2, 1948 Iredell County to the late Burley Clyde Myers and Anna Rimmer Harris. A Christian man, he owned Myers Used Tire in Spencer, NC, and was a former member of the Spencer Moose Lodge. His sister Melinda Gail Lamb also preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife Deborah Adele Turner Myers of the home; daughters Jennifer Hedrick (Sonny) of Statesville, Leigha Myers Wilson and Christina Maureen Myers both of Linwood; and step-daughter Joy Turner Thompson (Timothy) of Raleigh. Also surviving are grandchildren Cole, Trace, and Taylor Hedrick; Jasmyn, Kyla, and Sierra White; and Zion and Olivia Thompson; in addition to brother Burley Myers of Statesville, and numerous other family members and friends.
