Wayne Smith

Timothy Wayne Smith, 68, of Swicegood Road died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Novant Health-Rowan Regional Medical Center.  A memorial service will be Monday at 4:00 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Brian Smith. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.    Mr. Smith was born September 15, 1949 in Rowan County to the late Albert P. “Kayo” and Thelma Owens Smith. A member of Yadkin Baptist Church, he was formerly employed in sales for Goodyear Tire for 30 years.  Surviving are his wife, Cindy Rodden Smith of the home; sons Neal Smith (Kristen) of Asheboro, and Adam Smith (Keri) of Lexington; brother David Smith (Bonnie) of Salisbury; sister Kaye Smith of Linwood; and grandchildren Riley Smith and Grant Smith.
