Wayne Gwyn

Wayne Gwyn, 77, of Lexington passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday May 19th at The Well Church in Thomasville. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church. Interment will follow at Near Calvary Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Gwyn was born on February 17th, 1947 in Davidson County to the late Robert Early Gwyn and Coralee Hollingsworth Gwyn. He was a retired carpenter. In addition to his parents, a brother Robert Gwyn preceded him in death. Surviving are sons Buddy Wayne Gwyn of Florida and Kelly Wayne Peacock of Davie County; and daughters Melissa Miller and Deretha Ann Jones, both of Lexington, and Sebrina Gwyn of Florida; grandchildren include Matthew Shane Queen, Zachary Scott Queen, Hannah Gwyn, Olivia Wilson, and Jasmine Wilson, and six great grandchildren. Also surviving, are brother Roy Guwyn and sister Helen Gwyn Bray of Asheboro.
