Wanda Kay Gentle, 64, of Lexington, passed away Sunday at Trellis Hospice House in Winston-Salem.
A family viewing will be held Thursday June 11th, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Piedmont Funeral Home.
Wanda was born in Davidson County to the late Lawrence Lambert Laws and Nancy Freeman Laws. She was employed for many years with Leggett & Platt and later with Marconi & Associates.
Wanda enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors tending to her flowers and plants. She also loved her dog, Trixie, who was a constant companion. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and being involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her grandson, William Spencer Brownlaw III; and her brothers, Steven Laws and Phillip Laws.
She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Melissa Rivera of Welcome, Tabitha Troutman of Linwood, and Amber Gentle of Welcome; her brothers, Gary Johnson and Allen Laws; her grandchildren, Jason Scott Brownlaw, Tatum Dayton, Tyler Gentle, Alex Troutman, Cody Nixon, Branson Wall, Nathalie Gardner, and Arya Gentle; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Wanda will be remembered for her love of family, her enjoyment of life's simple pleasures, and the many memories she shared with those who knew her.
