Wanda Ann Brown Bailey, 79, passed away on June 16, 2026, in Forsyth County, North Carolina.
Born on November 3, 1946, in Radford, Virginia, Wanda was the daughter of the late Robert Brown and Lovelynn Winnie Phillips Brown.
Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with loved ones, especially during the holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite times of the year, when family would come together to enjoy quality time, and her famous homemade pumpkin pies. Wanda also had a passion for gardening and found happiness tending to both flowers and vegetables. Above all, she absolutely adored her grandchildren and treasured the special moments she shared with each of them.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her siblings, Robbie Brown, Ronnie Brown, Sandra Brown Threadgill, Gary Shaw, and Mike Shaw; and by her beloved granddaughter, Cheyenne Collins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband, Larry Bailey, Sr.; her children, Larry Bailey, Jr. (Amanda Bailey), Lisa Collins (Bobby Collins), and Scotty Bailey (Cheryl Bailey); her grandchildren, Heather Parks (Adam Parks), Hannah Bailey, Sheree Laster (Jamie Laster), Dawson Pennington, Marissa Collins, and Riley Bailey; and her great-granddaughter, Addison Parks.
A funeral service to honor Wanda's life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the church. Pastor Mark Hopkins and Pastor Mitch Wilson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Parks, Bobby Collins, Jerry Charles, Roger Charles, Jamie Laster, and Landon Bounds.
