Walska Jane Walker Cable, 63, of Lee Smith Road, Lexington, died Saturday at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, where she was a member, by Rev. Darrell Cartrette. The burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Cable was born May 28, 1943 in Davidson County to the late John Daniel Walker and Eula Mae Hunt Walker. She was a former employee with the Davidson County School System, having worked in the Cafeteria, at Pilot and Churchland Elementary Schools. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Cable of the home; her sons: Clark Wayne Cable of Tyro, Jimmy Allen Cable and his wife, Deborah of Silver Valley, and Rev. Jason Daniel Cable and his wife, Cassandra of Thomasville, who is pastor of High Point Freewill Baptist Church; her sisters: Marie Anne Wishon and her husband, Edward Junior and Sheila Vanessa Kidd and her husband, William all of Lexington; a brother, Kenneth Walker of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren: Allen Wayne Cable and his wife, Wendy, Joshua Adam Cable, Matthew Cable, Jeremy Cable, Kaitlyn Marie Cable, Miranda Cable, DJ Goodson, and Kayla Perras; and a great grandson, Zachary Allen Cable. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church and other times at the home of a son, Clark Wayne Cable, 284 Swicegood Road, Linwood.
