Wade Junior Finney

Wade Junior Finney, 71, of Cedar Drive, Lexington, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Alston Brook of Lexington. He was born August 1, 1940 in Surry County to the late Carl Finney and Mae Wilmouth Finney. Also preceding him in death were his son, Stephen Finney; brother Bobby Lee Finney and sister Judy Clodfelter. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 26, 2011 at Promiseland Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Michael McDaniel officiating. No visitation is planned. Mr. Finney was a member of Currytown Baptist Church and had worked as a fixer at Parkdale Mills, also he sold Insurance for Southern Life. Surviving are his wife, Mary Flowers Finney of the home; sons, Greg Finney and his wife Mary of Linwood, and Victor Finney and his wife Amy of Lexington; daughter, Capri Williams and her husband Michael of Lexington; brother Bill Finney of Lexington; 6 grandchildren, Cassidy, Bailey, Megan, Daniel, Zack and Matthew.
