DATELINE: Lexington HEADING: Vivian Raye Swing 87 of Jefferson St. Welcome, died Wednesday February 23,2011 at Forsyth Medical . Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday March 2,2011 at Forest Hill memorial Park with the Rev. Lee Jessup officiating. Mrs. Swing was born January 11,1924 in Davidson County to the late Alexander McRay Snyder and Eula Vann Michael Snyder. She was a bookkeeper for the Western Auto Store in Welcome. She was preceded in death by her parents, also preceding her in death were brother ; Eldred Snyder, sisters; Hazel Snyder Cox, and Mildred Snyder Moore. She was a member of Reeds Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; Foil David Swing,Sr. of the home, Son; Foil David Swing, Jr. and wife Janie of Kailua-Kona,Hawaii, daughters; Jane Young and husband Richard Bruce of San Antonio,Texas, Susan Swing and husband Greg Waas of Elgin Illinois, sister; Elizabeth Snyder Shoaf of Lexington, grandchildren; Meredith Swing Houser and husband Todd of Cary, Christopher Scott Young and wife Laura of Greenville, NC, Jeffery Keith Young of Greenville, NC, Great grandson; Zachry Houser of Cary.
