Vivian Hazel Hege

HEADING: Vivian Hazel Brewer Hege Vivian Hazel Brewer Hege, 86, of Hill Everhart Rd. died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Pilgrim Reformed Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. John H. Bigelow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Hege was born January 24, 1925 in Guilford County to the late Clifford Brewer and Pauline Hartley Brewer. She was owner of Pilgrim Community Grocery until she retired. Preceding her in death was her husband Gilmer Hege, sister; Peggy Brewer Miller and brother; Jacob O. Byerly,Jr. Surviving are two sons, Gilmer Lee Hege, Jr., and Gerald Keith Hege, Sr.; and two daughters, Sharon Lou Hege Everhart and Vivian Cheryl Hege Miller all of Lexington. Also surviving are grandchildren Gerald Keith Hege, Jr., Justin McKinley Hege, Jan LaRae Everhart Newman, Travis Centell Hege, Alex Ned Miller, and Abby Elizabeth Miller; and great-grandchildren Conor James Newman and Addison Elizabeth Newman, nieces and nephews; Abby, Janie, Lynn ,Randy, Joby, Mattley, Kingsley and Kelly. The family would like to give a special thanks to her friend and caregiver, Pat Phifer. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pilgrim Reformed Church 797 Pilgrim Church Road Lexington, NC 27295.
