Virginia Whittington Sheets

Mrs. Virginia Dare Whittington Sheets, age 76, a resident of NC Highway 47, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007 in the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jeffrey Sheets officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Sheets was born in Wilkes County, NC on January 17, 1931 to the late Thurmond and Cora Roberts Whittington. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was a brother, Homer Whittington. She was a loving mother. She is survived by her husband, Paul Sheets of the home; two sons, Bill Sheets and his wife, Betty of Vale, NC and Steve Roberts and his wife, Ruth of Hampton, Virginia;two daughters, Linda Hatley and her husband, Steve of Mocksville; and Carol Reavis of Monroe, Georgia; three brothers, Eueal Whittington, Ralph Whittington, and Clifford Whittington. Also surviving are four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. The family will see friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service at Piedmont Funeral Home.
