Virginia Pearl Everhart Bell age 99, of Lexington passed away Monday May 17, in Hinkle Hospice House. She was able to stay in her home living independently until a month ago due to her strength, well-being and a life-long of good health. Virginia was born in Davidson County June 12 1921, to Lindsey Everhart and Linnie Lash Everhart. She retired from Duracell Battery Company and volunteered for Meals on Wheels after retirement. She was a lifelong resident of Davidson County, and a faithful member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, She believed in family, honesty and strong/hard work ethics. “Oh Honey, if don’t have anything good to say, then don’t say anything at all”, she never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Von Bell in 2001 and a son Donald Ray Bell in 1963; her brother, Lawrence Everhart and sisters, Zella Sechrist, Grace Conrad and Marie Thompson; two grandchildren Phillip Jason Bell and Eric David Pace. Surviving are her son, Bruce Bell and his wife Melba Bell of Hendersonville NC; grandchildren Shannon Bell and his wife, Kristal Bell, and their children, Adela Bell (stroke warrior) and Connor Bell of Matthews NC, granddaughter Cricket King and her husband Billy King and their children, Lucas King and Loren King of Hendersonville NC; Jason’s daughter Katie Delude of Hendersonville NC and Eric’s children, Bianca Pace, Emily Pace, Corban Pace and Manasseh Pace of Hendersonville NC.
