Vertie Mae Yarborough

Mrs. Vertie Mae Jarrett Yarborough, 91, of Owens Road, died Friday, August 21 at the Brian Center of Lexington. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 25 at Center Hill Baptist Church with the Revs Brian Alexander and Lamar Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Yarborough was born September 10, 1917 in Davidson County to David Oscar Jarrett and Donnie Hartley Jarrett. She was a homemaker and was the oldest member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Her husband, Nyal Aaron Yarborough, Sr., preceded her in death. Surviving are her son, Aaron Yarborough, Jr., and wife, Frances, of Lexington, her grandson, William A. Yarborough of Lexington; her granddaughter in law, Abby Yarborough of Lexington and her great grandchildren, Haleigh, Camryn, and Briana Yarborough of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at her home on Owens Road, Lexington.
