Troy Wayne Hege

Troy Wayne Hege, Sr. 73, of Thomas Road died Tuesday at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday at Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Messer and the Rev. Doug McGee officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. Mr. Hege was born in Davidson County on February 23,1942 to the late Simon Peter Hege and Maebell Allen Hege. He was formerly employed with Mike Brewer Construction as a foreman and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by all his siblings. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Connie McPeak Hege of the home; son, Troy Wayne Hege, Jr. (Kelly); daughters, Shanan Tysinger (Daniel), Tabitha A. Khan, Katherine G. Hege, Mae Marie Hamilton and Heather Jillian Hege; forteen grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Piedmont Funeral Home is assisting the Hege family.
