In loving memory of Tony, who departed this world in October 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication. Born on July 26, 1965 in Lexington, NC, Tony lived a life full of compassion and service, touching the lives of many.

Tony was the beloved son of the late Richard and Margaret Ramsey and was greeted in the heavens by his dear sister, Lisa Ramsey. He leaves behind cherished memories with his precious Aunt Linda Sigmon, and his loving siblings: Tracy Ramsey and wife Linda of Salisbury; Alan Ramsey and wife Linda of China Grove; and sister Tammy Thompson of Linwood. His legacy continues with his nephews Chris Ramsey and wife Samantha of Kannapolis; Jason Ramsey of Linwood; and his Niece Brandy Ramsey of Linwood. A special place in his heart was reserved for his beloved girlfriend, Karri Winebargar of Lexington. Tony's adopted family Rick and Jill Gunter of Ocracoke and his two special furry friends Milo of the OBX and Charlie of Linwood.

An alumnus of West Davidson High School, Tony graduated in 1983 and later pursued higher education at Catawba College obtaining his Bachelors Degree, equipping himself with knowledge and skills that would guide his journey as a dedicated paramedic. Tony was also involved in continuing education at Davidson Davie Community College before becoming a full time Program Director of Health and Public Safety. Tony served with unwavering commitment at the Davidson County Emergency Medical Services as a Line Paramedic from 1986 to 2014. His passion for saving lives took him to the Outer Banks, where he continued his work with Hyde County Emergency Services as a Paramedic Supervisor.

Tony was not only a skilled professional but also a caring soul who found joy in helping others. He was a big-hearted individual always ready to lend a helping hand and was loved by all he came in contact with. His love for the outdoors  was evident in his passion for his tractor, always looking forward to the hay fields. He found fulfillment in  teaching and sharing his medical knowledge with fellow medical responders, enriching the community with his expertise.

A service to honor Tony's life will be held at Piedmont Funeral Home, located at 405 South Main St, Lexington, NC (date to be determined). Family, friends and all whose lives he touched are invited to come together to celebrate his life and the beautiful impact he made on the world.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests making a donation to a charity of your choice, a gesture that reflects Tony's own generous spirit.

As we bid farewell to Tony, we hold onto the memories of his kindness, his laughter, and the love he shared so freely. He may have left this world, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
