Tommy Devito

Thomas “Tommy” DeVito of Thomasville died Monday, April 13 in High Point Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3074 Mr. DeVito was born in New Haven County, CT to the late Robert DeVito and Carrie Buckland DeVito. He had owned and operated Ace Amusements and attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lexington. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WW II and was a member of the VFW Post 3074, American Legion, Post 8, and AMVETS, Post 13 in Lexington. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were three brothers, Jimmy DeVito, Joseph DeVito, and Willie DeVito. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Glenda Lambeth DeVito of the home, two daughters, Angela Dawn Kimsey and her husband, Nelson of Lexington, and Tammy Lynn DeVito of Thomasville. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews, a special nephew, Robert DeVito, a sister in-law, Kathryn DeVito, and a special prayer partner, Scott Woodall. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home.
