Thelma Ruth Williams

Thelma Ruth Bradshaw Williams, 89, of Park Circle, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at the Sticht Center at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Roseboro by Preacher Clyde Akers. Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Sampson County to Homer and Lessie May Fisher Bradshaw. She was a retired employee of Parkdale Mills of Lexington and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Bud Williams, and two sons, Glenn and Pete Williams. Surviving are two daughters, Faye Autry of Raleigh and Nellie Tart of Newton Grove; two sons, Larry Williams and Brian Williams of Lexington; one sister, Annie Jane Blackwell of Thomasville; 12 grandchildren; and a number of great- and great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Piedmont Funeral Home.
