Tabitha Daniels Pyrtle, a valiant fighter against cancer and a devoted servant of the Lord, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2023. Born in Guilford County on January 27, 1970, Tabitha was a beacon of love and strength throughout her life.
Tabitha was a self-employed tax preparation specialist, dedicating her professional life to assisting others with their financial needs. She ran her business successfully for 31 years, a testament to her dedication and expertise. She had taken over the business from her mother, Carroll Gray, and continued the legacy of excellence that her mother had established. However, her true passion lay in her unwavering love for her family. She adored her granddaughter, Harper Lane Shotwell, and found boundless joy in their precious moments together. Tabitha is preceded in death by her mother, Carroll Gray, but her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
As a loving wife, mother, and sister, Tabitha brought warmth and compassion to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her husband, Scott Pyrtle, shared a deep and enduring love with Tabitha that served as an example of what a committed partnership should be. Tabitha's children, Kameron Anderson, Summer Mickey (Grayson Shotwell), Reagan Reid, and Erin Pyrtle, cherished her as both a mother and a friend. Her sister, Kendra Barnes Koontz (Mike), and brother, Nick Holder, were blessed to call her family. Tabitha's life was enriched by the presence of her granddaughter, Harper Lane Shotwell, whose innocence and laughter brought immeasurable happiness to her days.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal services held in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be directed to a fund for her beloved granddaughter, Harper, at https://account.venmo.com/u/harpershotwell. Tabitha's legacy of love, strength, and faith will continue to shine brightly through the lives she touched, and her memory will forever be a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Piedmont Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family during this time of grief and remembrance.
