Swanie Marie Rachels

Swanie Marie Rachels, 66, of Fowler Ave., died Thursday March 17, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Rachels was born in Davidson County on October 31, 1949 to the late Bryce Yarborough and Mary Savannah Norman Yarborough. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Yarborough and nephew James Yarborough,Jr. Surviving are her husband, Johnny Franklin Rachels of the home; sons, Johnny Wayne Rachels and wife Tanja, Randal Rachels and Ronald Rachels all of Lexington; brother, Paul Ray Michael of Lexington; sisters, Joyce May, Lisa Hylton and Shelby Hobbs all of Lexington; granddaughters, Cameron Rachels and Andrea Rachels. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
