Susan Copeland Holland, age 86, of Sink Inn Road, passed away Monday afternoon in Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday July 26, 2012 in the chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Lloyd Morgan and her pastor, caregiver and friend Rev. Emma Milam. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.. Susan was born in South Carolina, May 27, 1926 to Charles M. Copeland and James Brown Copeland. She was retired from Edgewood Casuals and was a faithful member of Meadowview Deliverance Tabernacle and served in many positions through the years. She was president of the Willing Workers, youth choir director, a great musician and singer, and was one of The Singing Evangelists for many years. A wonderful soloist, she won two trophies in the Benson Singing. Her greatest happiness was because she found the Lord as her Savior. She also wrote songs and made a record and several tapes. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were, her husband, Jack Holland, brother, Raymond Copeland, sisters, Margaret Taylor, Frances Rainer, Dot Eveland, niece Louse Trott, and special friends, Neil and Lucille Johnson and Bobby Milam. Susan is survived by: nephews, Neal Taylor, Doug Taylor, Jack Taylor; niece, Anita Bridges and Frances Meadows and eight great nephews and nieces. Also surviving is her church family.
