Sue "Bonnie" Benoist

Mrs. Sue Yvonne Allen “Bonnie” Benoist, 68, of Spruce Street, died Saturday at her home after an extended illness. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 28 from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Frankie Matthews. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Benoist was born July 12, 1939 in Iredell County to Charles Ray Allen and Lydia Sue Foster Allen. She was employed by Leonard Photography Studio and was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, flea markets and yard sales. Her parents preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, Gary Eugene Benoist of the home; her son, Tim Pearson and wife, Dawn, of Lexington; her daughter, Tonia Fehr and husband, Scott, of Cary; her brother, Edwin Dale, “Bubbie” Allen, and wife, Sandra, of Landis; her grandchildren: Christopher Pearson, and Ashly Schreiner; and her great grandchildren: Felicity and Fiona Schreiner. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home.
