Shirley Haltom

Shirley Ann Weaver Haltom, 79, of Clemmons died Monday, March 13, 2023 at Cedar Hill Center for Nursing and Rehab in Clemmons. A funeral service will be Thursday at 10:30 AM at Centenary United Methodist Church, where she was a member, conducted by the Rev. Oscar Zuniga. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home, and other times at the home of the daughter. Mrs. Haltom was born August 8, 1943 in Davidson county to the late Bernie Baxter and Zella Sparks Weaver. She was formerly employed by Lexington Furniture Industries. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Eugene Haltom on February 9, 2015, and two brothers Ardell and Pat Weaver. Surviving are daughter Lisa Ann Haltom Phelps (Jeff) of Lexington; son Tony Eugene Haltom; sisters Daphne Shore of Clemmons and Juanita Myers of Lexington; and grandchildren, Daniel Michael (Jessica), Cory Michael (Shannon), Jacob Michael (Tara), Courtney Phelps, and Savannah Phelps. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
