Sadie Lourine Shoaf

Sadie Lourine Crisco Shoaf, 82 of Rockcrusher Road, died Friday July 3, 2015 at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Wade Powell and the Rev. James Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home. Sadie was born in Richmond County on August 29, 1932 to the late Luther Crisco and Jane Talbert Crisco. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gwendolyn Faye Allen, three sisters and six brothers. Surviving are her husband, James Edwin Shoaf of the home; sons, Dary Lynn Lewis (Melissa) of Wilmington; Ernest Ray Lewis (Sherry) of Hampstead; Tony Edwin Shoaf of Lexington; daughter, Vickie Sparks (Pete) of Lexington; sisters, Carolyn Bowling and Delois Larkins both of Wilmington; Jo Ann Adams and Edna Everhart both of Lexington; Effie Hutchins of Stuart, Va.; Carol Whitaker of Low Gap; Mildred Willard of Jonesville; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
