Ruth Bivens Wilson

Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Bivens Wilson, 95, of Giles Road, died Monday, September 23, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor David Wooten. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.  Mrs. Wilson was born in  Lincoln County July 6, 1924 to the late Otis and Essie Hullett Bivens. A homemaker, she was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, Herbert “Buck” Wilson.  Surviving are brothers “Lucky” Bivens (Linda), and Clint Bivens all of Lexington; sisters Corrine Smith and Glenda Bean (Gary) all of Virginia; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
