Ruth Lookabill Sink

Mrs. Ruth Lorene Lookabill Sink, age 79, a resident of Moore Drive, Lexington, died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in the Chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Peterson and Rev. Larry Cope officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Sink was born in Davidson County on July 29, 1928, daughter of the late Grover Lindsay Lookabill, and Carrie Potts Lookabill. She was a retired employee of Henry Link Furniture, plant 7, and was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Bobby Lee Sink, four sisters, Troy Daphine Lookabill Pope, Lindsay Marie Lookabill Curry, Maxie Parnell Lookabill Lemly, and Lucy Mabel Lookabill McGhee, two brothers, Alfred Conrad Lookabill, and Charles Dale Lookabill. Surviving are; a son, Billy Hatcher of the home, a sister, Elsie Swicegood of Lexington, three brothers, David Lookabill and his wife, Martha, Jeffrey Lynn Lookabill, and Jimmy Dean Lookabill all of Lexington, a step grandson, Chad Watkins of Lexington. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews, her caregiver, Wilma Martin, and her special four-legged companion, Didget. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the home.
