Ruth Marie Reeves

Ruth Marie Sherman Reeves, 45, of Pineland Avenue, Lexington died Friday March 25, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after a serious illness of three weeks. . Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM Monday, March 28, 2011 at Freedom Baptist Church with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. The family will see friends from 1 until 2 PM at the church before the service, and other times at the home. Ruth was born January 31, 1966 in Pulaski, Michigan to Hershall and Willie Dean Spencer Sherman. She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Gary Miller. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Darrell Dwayne Reeves of the home; six sons, Jeremy, Jimmy, Keelan, Zach, Connor, and Spencer Reeves all of Lexington; daughters, Charish Sherman and Ashley Reeves of Beckley, West Virginia, and Brittany Vanzant and husband Roger of Lexington; two brothers, L.J. Miller and wife Mary, and Jimmy Sherman and wife Kathy; one sister, Evelyn Zelenski, and her mother all of Okeechobee, Florida. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.
