Ruth Morrison Hardy

Mrs. Ruth Morrison “Granny” Hardy, 85, of Hargrave Street, Lexington, died Monday at her home after declining health. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Darrell Cox. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Granny was born on December 17, 1922 in Forsyth County to Arthur Morrison and Mary Hurley Morrison. She retired from Link-Taylor and her husband, Paul James Hardy, and her daughter, Lilly Louise Braddock preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Paul Vance Hardy, of Lexington; her grandchildren: Sylvia Louise Rangel of Lubbock, Texas, Arthur Paul Charles Braddock, Jeffrey Vance Braddock, and Natasha Mary Ruth Braddock, all of Lexington; her great grandchildren: Brandon Levi Braddock, Zachery Vance Braddock, Jeffrey Lee Braddock, Jessica Leigh Sink, and Hayden Anthony Cannady, all of Lexington, and Kasha Raeann Denny of Lubbock, Texas; a great great grandchild, Austin Skylar Macias of Lubbock, Texas; and her brother, Arthur June Morrison. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home.
