Ruby Hughes Hoover

Ruby Hughes Hoover, 89 ,of Harrington Ave. died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 13, 2012 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John W. Wheeles officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Piedmont Funeral Home. Mrs. Hoover was born October 29, 1922 in Davidson County to John Henry Hughes and Elda Varner Hughes, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Helen Trotter, and a granddaughter, Anna Hoover. Mrs. Hoover was retired from Lexington Home Brands. She had a great love for people and considered many her extended family. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include four sons, Garry Hoover , Harold Hoover, and wife Desaree, Doyle Hoover and wife Patsy, and Roger Hoover and wife Karen, all of Lexington; one daughter, Joyce Tester of Lexington; a brother, Austin Hughes of Charlotte; a sister. Virginia Bullard of Denton; seven grandchildren, Brent Alexander and wife Julie, Angela Murphy and husband Anthony, Avis Hoover, Angie Swink and husband Ryan, Jenny Ridenhour, Sarah Bryant, and Christian Francis and husband Kevan; eight great-grand-children, Hannah, Erin, Ashley, Natalie, Kelsea, Corey, Lily, and Nathan; and one great-great-grandchild, Brooks.
