Ruby Dillard Hege

Ruby Dillard Hege, 87, of Beck's Church Road, formerly of Lake Street, went to be with her savior Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, at her home. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Scott Wilkerson. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Hege was born Sept. 2, 1918, in Davidson County to Charlie Patterson Dillard and Virginia Edwards Dillard. She had worked at Wennonah Mills and later retired from Dacotah Mills. She taught Sunday school for 40 years and was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Clemmons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Franklin Hege; a daughter, Betty Jean Tripp; and a sister, Pearl Smith. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Rogers and her husband, Tommy, of Lexington; one son, Charles Wayne "Chub" Hege and his wife, Ann, of Lexington; one son-in-law, John Tripp of Lexington; a special niece, Sandra Trivette Harrox of Lexington; six grandchildren, Chris Hege, Tina Scofield, Scott Rogers, Mark Rogers, Kay Tripp and Steve Tripp; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of the son on Beck's Church Road.
