Ruby Mae Edwards

Mrs. Ruby Mae Sharpe Edwards, 95, of Lexington died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at her home after an illness of one year. A private graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Revs. David Edwards and Everette Leonard officiating. No visitation will be held. She was born January 2, 1925 in Davidson County to the late Dixie and Clatie Berrier Sharpe. A homemaker, she was of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death were her husband, Rev. Melvin Claude Edwards, sons John Thomas Edwards and Melvin Lee Edwards, brothers William and Jacob Sharpe, sister Hazel Tucker, and son-in-law Robert Jolly. Surviving are son Rev. David Edwards (Ellen) of Mocksville; daughter Joyce Jolly of the home; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
