Roy Gene Isaacs

Roy Gene Isaacs, age 74, a resident of Abbid Street, Lexington, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at his residence after an extended illiness. He was born on March 3, 1936 in Watauga County NC, to the late Paul Isaacs and Alma Yates Isaacs. He was retired from the Research and Development Department at PPG Industries, a member of Cotton Grove United Methodist Church and the American Legion and had served in the US Navy. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 18, 2010 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ed Armfield, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park with military graveside honors. Surviving are his wife Mary Cross Isaacs of the home; one son Michael Roy Isaacs and his wife Jenni of Lexington; two daughters Angela Hunter and her husband Lee, Kristie Adkins and her husband Jeff all the Lexington. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Phillip Calloway and his wife Jessica, Seth Hunter, Isaiah Hunter, Jacob Isaacs, Noah Isaacs, Jeffery Adkins and Jason Adkins.; two great-grandchildren, Zoe Calloway and Tyler Calloway.
