Roy Phillip Broadway

Roy Phillip Broadway, 69, of Greenwood Street, passed away Thursday January 19, 2017 at his home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Lookabill Family Cemetery in Churchland. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Roy was born in Davidson County on February 6, 1947 to the late Earl Broadway and Inez Davis Broadway. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Broadway, daughter, Sandra Broadway, brothers, Lewis Broadway and Troy Broadway. He was formerly employed with Dixie Furniture. Surviving are his daughter, Cindy Rivera (Harry) of Salisbury, grandchildren, Kristy Jarrett (Brandon) of Faith, NC, Misty Wilson of Raleigh, great- granddaughter, Lilly Jarrett.
