Rosemae Kennon Fitzgerald

Rosemae Kennon Fitzgerald, 83, died September 5, 2011 at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mark Blair and Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Fitzgerald was born in October 13, 1927, in Cabarrus County to the late Acie Rie Kennon and Lizzie Furr Kennon. She was married to Devid Leroy Fitzgerald who preceded her in death in 2009. Also preceding her in death was a brother Earl Kennon. She was a homemaker and a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church. Surviving include her son, Bobby Fitzgerald of Lexington; her daughter Penny Jones and her husband Tony of GA; one brother James Kennon of Lexington; one grandchild, T. J. Thompson and wife Melanie whom she considered a granddaughter, one great-grandchild, Trey Thompson; special sisters and brother in law Willie Veigh Fitgerald , and Franklin Fitgerald and wife Thelma and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 9, at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home.
