Rosa Lee Rice Williams, 90 of Fairview Drive formerly of Wilson Road, Linwood, died June 9, 2010 at Lexington Memorial Hospital after declining health. She was born April 5, 1920 in Anderson County SC to the late Whitner Rice and Geneva Rice. She was a former employee of the Chicken and Oyster Shack in Spencer and was a former employee of the furniture Industry. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, L.C. Williams Sr., one son David Williams, one brother, Carter Rice, and three sisters Rachel Wardlaw, Gladys Scott and Mayred Rice and son in law Greg Sansbury. Funeral Services will be at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 13, with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Family Cemetery in Linwood, The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Mrs. Williams is survived by two sons, William Herman Freeman and wife Katherine of Linwood, and L.C. Williams Jr. and wife Sonj, of Newport News, Va.; five daughters, Queen Ella Sansbury of Pawtuckett, RI., Doetha Williams of Jacksonville, FL, Rosa Lee Edmonds and husband Nathaniel of Columbia, Ga. Lucille Delores Williams of Puyallup, Wa, and Thelma Rowe and husband William of Clarksville, TN. Surviving sisters are Elizabeth Scott, Mabel Wright, Thelma Williams, Cora Winbush and Barbara Hall all of Anderson, SC; and brothers, Whitner Rice, Theodore Rice, Jesse Rice, Charlie Rice, John Rice, Bobby Rice all of Anderson SC, and Donald Rice of Charlotte, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren.
