Ronald Ray Edgerton

Ronald Ray Edgerton, 59 of Giles Road died Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Bland County, VA. after being in and accident. He was born August 29, 1950 in Richmond County, VA. to the late Charles Ray Edgerton and Vivian Jarrell Edgerton. Mr. Edgerton had served in the U.S. Marines and was a self employed plumber. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2009 in the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with the Mr. Terry Watson officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, at Piedmont Funeral Home. He is survived by his soul mate, Jeanie Marie James of the home and two sons, Bo Ward and his fiancee’ Corrina Hatcher of Mt. Airy, N.C. and Josh Nickles of Lexington. Also surviving are three daughters, Bonita Webb and her husband Richard of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Lisa Simmons and her husband Scott of Mt. Airy, N.C. and Tiffany Nickles of Lexington; three brothers Ralph Yates, Billy Edgerton, and Gary Neal; four sisters, Faye Grant, Joyce Laslo, Tannis Mowery, and Debbie Edgerton, all of Newport News, VA. Surviving are four grandchildren Jacob Golding, Charley Golding, Annie Webb and Sophie Webb all of Mt. Airy, N.C. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
