Roger Dale Walls, 62, a resident of East Old Highway 64, Lexington, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 6:50 PM in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from the graveside in the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. Military graveside rites will be by the Rowan County Veterans Council. Mr. Walls was born in Davidson County, NC on May 16, 1945, son of the late Henry Burgess Walls and the late Odessa Leonard Walls. He was a self-employed Building Contractor and he was of the Baptist faith. Roger served with the US Army during Vietnam. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were a brother, Henry Walls, Jr. and two sisters, Lottie Louvinia Walls and Florence Roberta Walls. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Mae Willis Walls of Thomasville; four sons; John Eric Willis of Thomasville, Thomas Willis of the home, Roger Dale Walls, Jr., and Charles Walls of Lexington. Also surviving are two brothers, Tommy Walls of Asheboro, and William Walls of Spruce Pine, NC, a sister, Shirley Walls Moore of Lexington, and a special friend, Steve Tysinger of Lexington.
