Robert Lee McKinnish, 84, of Davidson County, passed away on October 24, 2025. Born on October 6, 1941, in Davidson County, he was the son of the late Clifford Earl McKinnish and Helen Elizabeth Everhart McKinnish.

Robert was a lifelong resident of Davidson County and a man who deeply cherished his family. He found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved, whether gathered around the table sharing stories or simply enjoying one another’s company. His warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for his family will forever be remembered.

He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Wright (James); his son, David McKinnish (Tina); his grandchildren, Sara Wright, Amber King (Kyle), and Brad Deal; and his great-grandchildren, Bethany Brousseau, Liam Wright, and Zoey King.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Beuna Allene Lowe McKinnish; his son, Jeff McKinnish; his daughter, Carla McKinnish; his brother, Kenneth McKinnish; and his grandchildren, Bethany McKinnish and Tad Deal.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church located at 1649 E. Center St. Ext. Lexington, NC 27292, with Pastor James Messer officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose life touched so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Hinkle Hospice House in Robert’s memory, in appreciation of their compassionate care.

Robert will be dearly missed, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
