Robert Bob Harkness

Robert “Bob” Harkness, 65, of Potts Creek Road, died Friday morning, November 1, 2013 at Hinkle Hospice House. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A. M. Saturday , November 9th, 2013 at Tyro United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Randy Foster officiating. The family will receive friends at the home. Mr. Harkness was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 31, 1947 to the late William Harkness and Theresa Pavlisko Harkness. He was a member of Tyro United Methodist and The Web of Dreams Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by brother, Douglass Harkness. Surviving are his wife, Andrea Cardella Harkness of the home; son, Robert Josef Harkness (Jessica) of Norfolk,Va.; daughter, Suzanne Harkness Perdue ( Randy) of Welcome; grandchildren, Caden Perdue, Ciera Harkness and Luke Harkness; brothers, David Harkness (Lisa) of Rhode Island; William Harkness (Tina) of Lexington; sisters, Elaine Harkness of New York, Maren Schnalzer (Ernst) of Maine; beloved sister-in- law, Francine Cardella; and numerous nieces and nephews.
