Robert Ernest “Bob” Finley, 81, of Queens Dr. died Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Select Specialty Hospital of Novant Health, Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a critical illness. A memorial graveside service with full military honors will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Salisbury National Cemetery Columbarium by the Rev. Dr. Lee Zehmer . Bob was born November 18, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert Birch and Mary Margaret Althoff Finley. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Finley. A member of First Presbyterian Church, he retired as director of purchasing from Binnings Building Products (now National Gypsum) and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife Kathryn Lucille (Lucy) Finley of the home; son Brent Finley of Lexington; daughters Mary Beth Farris and husband William of Lexington, and Karen Louise Teer and husband Mike of Jamestown; grandchildren Mary Kathryn Farris, Spencer Teer, and Macy Teer; step-grandchildren Erika Teer and Jeremy Teer; brother Donald Finley and wife Shirle of New Jersey; and sisters Barbara Knudson and husband Larry of New Mexico, and Elizabeth Ann Anderson of Florida.
