Robert William Brown

Robert William “Robbie” Brown,Jr. 62 of Lexington died Friday, November 19,2010 at Hinkle Hospice house after an illness of one year. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 1:00pm, November 22, 2010 at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Wayne Knight. Entombment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Mr. Brown was born March 3, 1948 to the late Robert William Brown, Sr. and Lovelyn Phillips Brown Shaw. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Brown, and a sister, Sandra Brown. He was a long distance truck driver. Surviving are two sons, Timmy Brown and Billy Brown, and a daughter Tammy Brown all of Mt. Airy, in addition to six grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Wanda Bailey and husband Larry, and two brothers, Gary Shaw and wife Lisa, and Michael Shaw all of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Piedmont Funeral Home.
