Richard William Brewer

Richard William Brewer, 73, of Robert Hargrave Road, died Sunday in High Point Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 13, from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve McClain officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Brewer was born February 10, 1935 in Davidson County to Clyde Oliver Brewer and Nannie Mae Loflin Brewer. He had been employed by Silvercraft, and later at Kasby Kay in Thomasville. He was a member of the US Army National Guard and a member of Lineberry United Methodist Church. His son, Barry Brewer preceded him in death; as well as his daughter in law, Marsha Roller Brewer, his parents, his brothers: Tommy Brewer and Junior Brewer, and his sisters: Lula Smith, Margie Workman, and Helen Daniels. He is survived by his wife, Marie Skeen Brewer of the home; his sons: Larry Brewer of Southmont, and David Brewer, and wife, Kathy, of Trinity; his daughter in law, Teresa Brewer of Denton; his brothers: Kenneth Brewer of High Point, Harold Brewer, Ronnie Brewer, Danny Brewer, and Harley Brewer, all of Thomasville; his sisters: Ruby Sneed of Welcome, Martha Stinson, Debbie Beane, and Pansy Byerly, all of Thomasville; his grandchildren: Brandon Brewer, Jeremy Brewer, Jesse Brewer, Chris Brewer, Shannon Wall, and Heather Brewer, and his great grandchildren: Nicole and Jamie Wall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home.
