Rev. Henry Martin Bivens

Rev.Henry Martin Bivens, 67, of Hege Drive, Lexington went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Hinkle Hospice House after an illness of eleven months. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 6:00 pm at United Full Gospel Church with Bishop Maston Love, Jr., PhD officiating. Mr. Bivens was born December 28, 1943 in Catawba County, NC to the late Robert Lee and Lilly Jane Abernathy Bivens. He was retired from Bivens Parts and Supply and was a member of Jesus Saves Full Gospel Church, and was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Bivens, and two sisters, Vera Morrison and Wanda Black. Surviving are his wife, Linda Norman Bivens ; two sons, Matt Bivens and wife Teresa, Henry Martin Bivens, II and wife Misty; a daughter, Amanda Bolz and husband Daniel, and a step-daughter, Christine Bailey and husband Randy all of Lexington. Also surviving are grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jessica, and Meghan Bivens, Lily and Willow Bolz, Maggie Jordan and husband Chris, Anita Naglieri and husband Michael and Crusita Maldonado. Great-grandchildren surviving are Gabriel Jordan, Zoe, Hunter, and Halle Beckom, in addition to his brother Frankie Bivens and wife Sherrie and his sister Debbie Ledford and husband Gene all of Lexington. The family will receive friends at the home of the son, Matt Bivens on Swicegood Rd. in Linwood. , We all love him and are going to miss him so much. Memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
