Rebecca Marlene Shinoda

Rebecca Marlene Leonard Shinoda, 82 of Lexington died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Craig Ford. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Shinoda was born in Davidson County May 24, 1932 to Henry P. and Arlene Hicks Leonard. A member of Centenary United Methodist Church, she was a retired accountant with Morton Salt Corporation. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Leonard. Surviving are son Walter Joe Cagle, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother Henry P. Leonard, Jr. and wife Patricia; sisters Louise “Lou” Rodgers and husband Buddy, and Marie Lee and husband Jim all of Lexington. Also surviving are grandchildren Cash Vernon Cagle, Christopher Kyle Cagle and wife Anita, and Keri-Lyn Cagle, in addition to great-grandchildren Azriel Ashton Cagle, Briana Nicole Cagle, Kyuss Aiden Cagle, Kainan Azera Cagle, and Harmony Aaliyah Craven.
