Rebecca Kirby Savage

Rebecca Anne Kirby Bass Savage, 71, of Lanier Drive, died Sunday, September 25, 2011, at her home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednsday, September 28, 2011, at Promiseland Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Piedmont Funeral Home. Mrs. Savage was born February 9, 1940, in Forsyth County to Shober Oscar Kirby and Maida Jane Newsom. She was owner/operator of Savage Family Care and a member of Promiseland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry Savage and Harold Bass. Surviving are her sons, Tim Savage and wife, Robin, of Lexington, Grey Savage Jr. and wife, Jatana, of Kannapolis; daughter, Lisa Savage Pittman and Tammy Savage Couch, both of Raleigh; seven grandchildren, Trey Savage and wife, Holly, Joshua Savage, Sterling Savage, Spencer Couch, Chase Pittman, and Rebecca Savage; one great-grandchild, Blake Savage; and brother, Kenneth and wife Betty of Walnut Cove
