Ray Wilson

Mr. Ray Stewart Wilson, 90, of Hargrave Road died Tuesday, January 10, 2023. A memorial service will be Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Linwood United Methodist Church, where he was a member, conducted by the Rev. Cindy Ramirez. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Mr. Wilson was born in Rowan County April 23, 1932 to the late Price Wilson and Mary Josephine Bost Wilson. He was the founder of Wilson Welding of Linwood, Inc. and a charter member of the Davidson County Rescue Squad. He was also a veteran of the US Naval Reserve. In addition to his parents, also preceding him in death was his wife Doris Lee Smith Wilson, sister, Margaret Wilson, and a special cousin, Elsie Wilson Graham. Surviving are son James Bost Wilson (Kathy), daughter Margaret Sink (Ronald), grandchildren Justin Sink (Megan), Geoffrey Sink, and Dr. Aimee Sink, DVM, and great-grandchildren Reilly Sink and Alex Sink, in addition to a sister, Mary Louise Wilkerson (Maywood) of Lexington.
